B is for Boxes

Yes, I am certifiably insane. I signed my second blog up for the A to Z Challenge. Gah!@!! Oh well it will take my mind off the stress of moving, and so my B word is BOXES.

When you are moving, boxes is all you can think about. I need boxes. Where can I get boxes? Hey, can I have that box? Does it have flaps? It's the perfect size, I must have it! Give me ten.

Then once you're in, the love affair with boxes is over. You can't get rid of them fast enough. I'm now in the please I need more boxes phase. Really, do you have boxes? Because I need them. Bad.

  1. hi Karen:)

glad to see that you joined the chaos this year after being an observer last year! i hear you on the boxes...before and after. thanks for stopping by and commenting in my blog too. last year the criteria was to have at least 500 words.(i think) it's difficult for me to keep under it:)

  2. I was just sampling the blogs today and ran across your references to boxes--which was also part of my B! Anyway, nifty blog.

Good luck with your challenge--and good luck with your move!

  3. I love these challenges! I love to just read what others come up with, but I am not brave enough to attempt it myself.
Oh! Yes, boxes, I can relate! When you move, you can't help get obssesed with boxes.

  5. Once when we lived in an apartment and were moving, the people across from us were also moving. They ran out of boxes and we had too many. So, we game them our extra boxes.

  6. I totally relate, though if I had written a post about moving, it would have been B is for Bubblewrap. My husband, bless him, wrapped everything in a thousand pounds of bubble wrap. When we were unpacking, he asked, "who's the idiot who wrapped this stuff?" Fortunately, he was, not me.

  7. You are so right. I'm moving in a few months and I see boxes everywhere.

  8. I always go to the grocery store and get Bananna Boxes... they work good. The last time I moved I had over 500 books to move down 4 flights of narrow winding apartment stairs... it was not fun.

    Good luck!

  9. I remember being in that 'I need boxes' stage. Good luck. It's not my favourite thing to do!! Good that you've joined us on the A to Z though. It'll take your mind off all the moving hassle... won't it?

  10. It's too bad we're so far apart because I have one of those jobs that comes with an endless supply of boxes.

    Good luck with your move!!

  11. Sorry, no boxes, but just came to wish you luck with the moving and with the A-Z challenge. I am sure you will do fine.

  12. Well put! Here's one of those experiences most of us have had but few have put into words - and you did it so concisely! I actually laughed in my little moment of perfect sympathy. I wish to never move again. (And I wish I had some boxes for you - but I disposed of them in a furious hurry. ha!)

I don't post very often, but if you leave a comment I'll know someone is out there reading. And then I will post more! Bwa ha ha!
